  1. Utilizes principles of aseptic technique in creating and maintaining a sterile field.

  2. Demonstrates competency in scrubbing as it relates to unit scope of care.

  3. Plans and provides equipment and supplies based on patient and physician needs.

  4. Promotes cost containment while delivering quality patient care within the operating room.

  5. Works as a member of the Surgical Services Team to promote teamwork.

  6. Demonstrates flexibility to perform other functions within Surgical Services and procedural areas to assist in the smooth operation of the departments and maintain competencies as appropriate.

  7. Pursues own professional growth through continuing education and in services.

  8. Participates in department on-call assignments and demonstrates flexibility to cover staffing as needed.

  9. Adheres to hospital policies and procedures; supports the mission of the hospital.

  10. Other duties as assigned.

Additional Information about our Operating Room:

  • Main hospital: 4 ORs, 3 Endoscopy Rooms

  • Ambulatory Surgery Center: 2 ORs, 1 Endoscopy room, and 1 Treatment Room

  • Surgeries performed include but are not limited to Orthopedics, General, ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Vascular, and Upper & Lower Endoscopies.

Required: Graduate of a Surgical Technologist program.
Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist.
Preferred: Minimum 1-2 years of Surgical Technologist experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
