Ultrasound Technician PRN

JOB DUTIES:
1 Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures.
2 Performs all ultrasound/vascular procedures following defined protocols.
3 Observant of patients' conditions. Notifies physician or supervisor of unusual occurrences.
4 Compiles appropriate records to expedite results.
5 Analyzes the quality of images and processes as required.
6 Understands and operates electronic information systems, PACS, PacsCube, Powerscribe etc.
7 Maintains appropriate supplies and a clean, organized working environment.
8 Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of sonography.
9 Participates in departmental QA/Accreditation process.
10 Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
11 Various other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE
Required - Three years experience as Vascular and/or UltrasoundTechnologist. Demonstrated computer skills.
Preferred - Same as above with both Vascular and General Ultrasound experience.
EDUCATION
Required - ARDMS or RVT eligible, completion required within six months of hire. CPR eligible.
Preferred - Bachelor Degree. CPR certified. RVT and ARDMS registered.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
