RN/Registered Nurse Educator Lead - Service Excellence


  1. Partners with facility leadership in managing organizational effectiveness efforts including: service excellence, clinical education needs assessment and design, competency modeling, curriculum development, clinical development and learning systems, change management, selection and performance management initiatives.

  2. Oversees hospital educators in improving process and documentation in the areas of: Competency Evaluation, Orientation, Needs Assessment; Performance Improvement, Joint Commission Compliance, Preceptor Development and Continuing Education.

  3. In participation with management: Develops implements and coordinates integrated competency based systems and assessment tools to identify developmental needs. Designs overall strategy, curriculum and program plan for continuing leadership and staff personal effectiveness development.

  4. Evaluates and recommends new learning platforms. Consults with facility customers in identifying innovative, creative and cost effective solutions to enhance learning programs.

  5. Participates in multiple hospital wide committees and projects; makes professional presentations outside standard curriculum as needed. Markets the services of the education department and oversees advertising of programs offered.

  6. Evaluates/Designs/Provides/coordinates orientation/training programs, in-service education, and other educational programs for the development of the clinical staff.

  7. Actively participates in continuing self-development and professional growth. Maintains knowledge of current clinical practices, trends and tools.

  8. Responsible for leading service excellence initiatives throughout facility.

  • 3-5 years of experience as an RN in an education or staff development role.

  • Candidate must be well organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills, facilitation skills, and proven ability to design, teach, and lead the organized clinical training/development programs.

  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite


  • A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in healthcare, service related industry or communications.


  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current license as an RN in the State of Virginia

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing


  • Master's Degree or currently enrolled in a study obtaining a Master's Degree in Education, Nursing, Health Administration, or related field

  • Proven experience in program design and facilitation

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
