AdvanSix has an immediate opening at our Chesterfield,Virginia facility for an Electrical/Instrumentation Reliability Engineer in ourReliability/Maintenance Engineering group. This is a great position for someonewho enjoys the challenge in making improvements and driving change. Thisposition will work closely with field Maintenance Engineers, Project Engineers,operating area personnel and all levels of the Maintenance Organization toensure the safe and profitable operation of the Chesterfield Plant.
Responsibilities:
Provide analysis of failed equipment todetermine and eliminate cause(s).
Advise and review repairs and modifications to electricaland instrumentation equipment
Establish and maintain instrument calibrationprogram.
Develop and implement Reliability Control Plansfor several equipment classes to drive long-term improvements in safety,environmental, and operational performance.
Advise on proper execution and documentation ofrepair and preventive maintenance (PM) activities for electrical andinstrumentation equipment. Where necessary support job plan and shop paperdevelopment in support these activities.
Identify and interface with preferred equipmentmanufacturers, specialists, and technical support consultants.
Develop and maintain job plans for specificrepair activities.
Develop, maintain and update maintenance documentation(e.g. repair reports, bill of materials, upgrade recommendations) for criticalplant equipment.
Assist hourly E/I technicians with motor orinfrared analysis and condition monitoring data interpretation, recommendactions based on these analyses.
Provide assistance with equipment performancetroubleshooting as requested/required.
Support equipment installations/upgrades byensuring design-for-maintainability and reliability are incorporated intoprojects
Provide TAR support and 24 hour around theclock production operation maintenance support
Ability to perform physical tasks in anindustrial plant environment including, but not limited to climbing ladders andperforming confined space entries
BasicQualifications:
BS in Electrical, Electronics, orInstrumentation and Control Engineering or equivalent
3 years minimum chemical/petrochemicalplant maintenance, design and/or reliability engineering experience workingwith electrical supply and distribution, instrumentation and control equipment
AdditionalQualifications:
Strong problem solving and troubleshootingskills
Hands on Electrical/Instrumentationcapabilities
Working knowledge of PLCs, DCS, etc.
Knowledge of electrical or instrumentationdesign, selection, repair techniques and performance assessment
Well rounded field experience applyingmaintenance engineering principals to electrical or instrumentation repair workfor a variety of typical process plant equipment
Practical experience facilitating Root CauseFailure Analysis and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis utilizing a selection ofindustry standard tools
Familiarity interpreting and applying industrystandards and best practices related to electrical or instrumentation equipment
Self-motivated and goal-oriented individualwith proven success working independently and in a multi-functional teamenvironment
Excellent organizational, planning andverbal/written communication skills
Knowledge of engineering materials chemicalcompatibility and application as relates to plant equipment reliability
Experience in a leadership role; temporary orinterim assignment acceptable
Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
Experience with maintenance workexecution/supervision in a unionized environment
Working knowledge of drafting and project planning software (e.g. AutoCAD,Visio, MS Project, Primavera, etc.)
Hands-on experience using SAP work managementsystem Meridium or similar
Proficientuse of MS Office Suite of software products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
