1 Documents patient information, presents correct information for interpretation, and performs
other non-clinical duties to support procedure completion.
2 Performs all aspects of radiopharmaceutical preparation for scintographic, bioassay,
and therapeutic procedures and disposes of radioactive trash according to department
policy and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
3 Performs imaging and therapeutic procedures according to requirements.
4 Transfers and positions the patient in a safe manner.
5 Performs non-clinical activities pertinent to equipment maintenance and NRC
regulations for Quality Control and radiation monitoring.
6 Efficiently operates electronic information system and Unit Dose Manager.
7 Maintains appropriate supplies and a clean and organized working environment.
8 Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of
Nuclear Medicine.
9 Involvement in Quality Control/Quality Improvement.
10 Initiates patient teaching including family and/or significant others.
Required - One year experience in Nuclear Medicine. (May include experience in formal NM training program.)
Preferred -Three years experience in hospital Nuclear Medicine department.
Required -RT with one year training and demonstrated, documented proficiency in the field of Nuclear Medicine.
Certification with the NMTCB, ARRT, or ASCP. CPR eligible.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
