The Manager of Facilities Management assists in planning, organizing, and coordinating activities within the Facilities Management department and PBX to provide services, repair and maintenance necessary to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the hospital and to maintain a comfortable physical environment for patients, employees, medical staff and the public in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, budgetary requirements, and applicable local, state and federal building, safety and hospital codes.

  • Responsible for construction and renovation projects.



  • Responsible for miscellaneous projects performed by either the in-house staff or outside contractors as required.



  • Serves and participates on committees and task forces as requested.



  • Assists in the overseeing the proper function and maintenance of the buildings, grounds, and equipment.



  • Communicates with other departments as conditions dictates.



  • Assist in the recruiting and selecting of staff.



  • Monitor employees to ensure a safe and healthful working environment.



  • Participates in State, Local, Joint Commission, and OSHA surveys.



  • Responsible for Departmental Quality Assurance/Quality improvements activates



  • Assists and oversees unique circumstances in facility maintenance and construction as required.



  • Coordinates and manages all space requirements and moves.



  • Directs specific activities of the Maintenance Department, including special events.



  • Oversees the proper function and maintenance of the building and equipment, as applicable.



  • Performs Facility audits to power plant equipment and utility systems.



  • Oversees Department tools and machinery.



  • Oversees the appropriate staffing if required by the Director.



  • Supervise, train, and orient staff to facility equipment policies and procedures.



  • Oversee the appropriate services and supplies related to power plant equipment and


utility systems.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Hospital Plant Operations supervision and Environment of Care Committee / Survey is REQUIRED

  • ASHE certification preferred.

  • Must be versed in Joint Commission standards .


Education : Bachelor Degree preferred in either Facilities or Business related field

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
