Manager Behavioral Health - Outpatient - RN or LCSW

  1. Plans, develops, implements and evaluates the outpatient treatment program; defines needs and establishes goals and objectives; ensures service and record keeping compliance according to all applicable Virginia Administrative Rules, Mental Health Organization agreements, State Financial Assistance Agreement and County policies and procedures.
  2. Supervises therapists, case managers and specialists assigned to the program; develops written work plans; reviews work, monitors performance and provides for appropriate disciplinary action as required, and conducts annual performance evaluations; provides technical and professional assistance to staff; provides for appropriate training for all subordinate staff.
  3. Works closely with JRMC Quality Assurance Department in development and annual update of policy and procedures, new program services and the program's budgets.
  4. Establishes effective working relationships and provides consultation and/or liaison with noncontract agencies serving the target population; assists in representing the Mental Health Center to the community.
  5. Prepares monthly reports regarding revenue, discharges, admissions, etc. and special reports as needed.
  6. Educates and trains other staff and/or community agencies on a variety of mental health subjects.
  7. Develops and maintains an ongoing relationship with local advocacy groups, consumer groups, advisory boards, committees and governmental bodies.
  8. Clinical supervision in the areas of, individual counseling, group therapy, home visits, money management and medication management, with appropriate LMP.
  9. May provide direct client services as needed.
  10. May be on call after hours as required

Qualifications:

Possession of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a behavioral, social or medical science or any equivalent combination of experience and training
Required

Three year's post-Master's experience in a professional practice in a mental health agency or a social agency closely allied to Mental Health.
Required

Extensive experience in human services, program development, supervision, and administration.

Licenses, Certifications, & Training:

Licensed in the State of Virginia as a registered nurse or a licensed Social Worker or related field to perform clinical assessments in the appropriate state
Required

Basic Cardiac Life Support
Required

Nonviolent Crisis Intervention
Required
-must be obtained within 30 days of hire or start in position

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
